I created this site about holistic menopause solutions out of a heartfelt realization that most women are not prepared for menopause. While there is ample information available about menopause online, there’s a glaring gap when it comes to practical solutions for the diverse array of symptoms women experience. Recognizing this void, I embarked on a mission to fill it by curating insights from countless conversations I had with women from this walk of life. Their stories, struggles, and triumphs have illuminated a path towards effective solutions and invaluable support. This websites also wants to be a source of information for everybody: for men, younger women, co-workers, family and friends of women going through this change in life.
I take a holistic approach to menopause management, recognizing that hormone replacement therapy (HRT) may not be the preferred option for everyone. Instead, I aim to provide a diverse array of holistic menopause solutions and strategies that have proven effective for many women in managing their symptoms. From lifestyle modifications and dietary changes to herbal remedies, supplements, and non-hormonal medications. I offer a wealth of resources and practical advice to empower women to find what works best for them. My goal is to ensure that every woman and their families have access to comprehensive information and support, enabling them to navigate menopause with confidence and vitality, regardless of their chosen treatment approach.
This website is a testament to the power of listening, learning, and sharing. Together, we can navigate menopause with greater ease and resilience.
What is Menopause and Perimenopause?
Menopause marks a significant transition in a woman’s life, usually in her late 40s to early 50s. It signals the end of reproductive capabilities as ovaries decrease estrogen and progesterone production, leading to physical and emotional changes like hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, vaginal dryness, and libido changes. Symptoms vary widely in intensity and duration among individuals, challenging to manage for some. Menopause is officially diagnosed after 12 consecutive months without a menstrual period.
Perimenopause precedes menopause, starting several years before and lasting until menopause. It involves hormonal fluctuations, especially estrogen, resulting in symptoms similar to menopause. During perimenopause women can have the same symptoms of menopause, but the monthly menstrual period is still present.
Approaching menopause, seeking support from healthcare professionals and loved ones is crucial for navigating this transformative phase with grace and understanding.
Am I in Perimenopause or Menopause?
If women are experiencing symptoms and are curious to know if menopause is the cause or if it might be attributed to something else, they can consider checking their hormone levels at home. Using home hormone testing kits offers a convenient and discreet way to gain insight into their hormonal health. This kit is from a CLIA-Certified LabĀ Everlywell Women’s Health Test.
HRT or no HRT?
Opinions on Hormonal Replacement Therapy in menopause vary. My opinion is to start changing to a healthier lifestyle, maybe include natural products and than, depending on the severity of your symptoms, talk to a doctor and discuss all your possibilities. There are different types of hormonal therapies available. These treatments can effectively alleviate symptoms. Some women and medical professionals worry about side effects. Hormonal therapy for menopause can involve natural or synthetic hormones. Natural hormone therapy includes hormones from plant sources. Bioidentical hormones are structurally identical to those naturally produced. Synthetic hormones used in therapy are manufactured. The effectiveness of HRT depends on various factors. HRT improves the lives of many women. Deciding on hormonal therapy requires professional consultation.
I hold no personal objections to Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), I am happy to link to reputable videos or resources where experts discuss this topic, ensuring that visitors can access a range of insights and make informed decisions about their health journey.
